About Us
Root and Rising was born out of a desire to help women connect and find their way back to themselves
In a world that asks so much of us; as mothers, partners, carers, friends and professionals; it can be easy to lose sight of who we are beneath all the roles we hold. Root and Rising creates spaces where women can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves without any expectation.
Through women's circles, seasonal gatherings and other wellbeing experiences, Root and Rising offers opportunities to slow down and carve out a little time for yourself.
There is no need to arrive with experience, or a particular belief system. These spaces are for real women navigating real lives; messy, beautiful, challenging and everything in between.
At its heart, Root and Rising is about creating moments of rest and reflection, and helping women feel more grounded in themselves and more connected to those around them.
...and, if I'm honest, from a mild obsession of gathering women together, creating more kindness in the world, and daydreaming about dismantling the patriarchy and replacing it with love.
Hi, I'm Zoe.
My path into wellness wasn't a traditional one. Before creating Root and Rising, I worked in interior and kitchen design; a world centred around creating beautiful, functional spaces that help people feel at home. Looking back, the wellness thread has always been there: creating environments for people to feel comfortable and able to be themselves.
I have always found myself drawn to practices that helped me slow down and reconnect; things like mindfulness, nature, foraging, crystals, ritual, journaling and gathering in community. These habits helped me navigate motherhood, find myself again and make everyday life function with a little more ease.
I'm not interested in perfection, and I'm certainly not a wellness guru. I'm a woman living a wonderfully messy, very human life, doing my best alongside everyone else.
I am passionate about creating spaces that feel safe, welcoming and unintimidating.
